Trade-In

Members, with Re/Supply's trade-in program, you can give your pre-loved gear a new life outdoors. Bring your gear to any REI store – including this one – to process your trade-in with a store associate. Make sure your items are in good, working condition. A store associate will evaluate your gear to determine if they meet program requirements. Use our online trade-in catalog to see what is eligible and how much your items could be worth ahead of time. For all trade-ins that are accepted, you will receive credit in the form of an electronic REI gift card sent to the email address associated with your membership. 1.    Ensign Peak Trail is a short and easy hike located just 2.5 miles north of downtown Salt Lake City. It offers stunning city views and features an 18-foot-tall stone monument dedicated to the Mormon pioneers at the top.

 

2.    Fifth Water Hot Springs provides a mellow hike of 4.5 miles out and back, located about 20.4 miles southeast of Mapleton. The highlight of this trail is the series of natural hot springs along the last mile, where hikers can relax and soak in pools of varying temperature and color.

 

3.    Cecret Lake Interpretive Trail, situated 2.2 miles southeast of Alta, offers a manageable 1.6-mile hike leading to a picturesque alpine lake. The trail is adorned with interpretive signs, providing educational opportunities for hikers, and the destination rewards visitors with the breathtaking view of the high alpine lake.


4.    The Living Room, located 4.2 miles east of downtown Salt Lake City, is a popular hike known for its unique overlook. Hikers will encounter "furniture" made of flat rocks, including couches and chairs, providing a cozy spot to rest and enjoy the sunset. It's important to respect the area and refrain from creating new rock furniture.

 

5.    Brighton Lakes to Sunset Peak is a moderately challenging hike spanning 6.1 miles out and back, starting from Brighton on the south end of Brighton Loop Road. The trail leads to Sunset Peak, offering panoramic views of the Brighton Lakes and the surrounding valley. Hikers have the option to turn back at the lakes if they prefer a shorter trek.

 

6.    Lake Blanche Trail, located 6.2 miles east of Cottonwood Heights, presents a more challenging 7.0-mile out-and-back hike. The trail passes through dense forest and opens up to stunning views of rocky peaks and Lake Blanche nestled at their base. The autumn season adds an extra charm with the changing colors of the aspens.

 

7.    Mount Olympus Trail, situated 3.1 miles south of Holladay, is a difficult hike that rewards adventurers with a summit experience. With a steep ascent of over 4,000 feet, this trail offers a great challenge for more experienced hikers. The top of Mount Olympus provides panoramic views, making it a worthwhile and iconic hiking destination.

 

8.    The Mount Timpanogos Loop, located 11.9 miles east of Cedar Hills, is a challenging 14.9-mile lollipop loop hike. It offers diverse landscapes, including canyons, meadows, waterfalls, alpine lakes, and rocky ascents. The highlight is the breathtaking 360-degree view from the 11,757-foot tall Mount Timpanogos. Hikers should come prepared and exercise caution while crossing the snowfield.
