Claimed weight of Nalgene is understated, it is said to be 2 ounces or 57 grams. On my scale it weighs 72 grams, not even close the the stated weight. I expect better out of REI.
Easy to fill lightweight 16 oz bottle. Easy to take on an airplane, just remember to empty it before TSA security and refill the drinking fountain before boarding the plane.
Lightweight and the right size for not carrying an obscene amount of water.
Very light and easy to carry, same quality as the bigger Nalgene bottles.
Durable, doesn’t impart a plastic taste, and has that iconic look.
This is exactly what I was looking for, too bad that it has to be ordered to the store.
I have several sizes of these "old school" Nalgens for years and years and they have never leaked or cracked. By contrast, I have had to replace a few of the fancy, clear ones because they broke when I accidentally dropped them on the sidewalk (while the bottles were full of water).
