Great for Kayaking
I have used these for 2 seasons of kayaking and would buy these again. No obvious wear or tear issues from my weekend paddling trips. I do not like the bulky feel and thick heels of a Teva or Chaco sandal as they get in the way of the foot space and foot pegs in my Eddyline Sitka kayak. The NRS kickers are like being in bare feet (that's a positive) so there is plenty of room in the footwell for my feet wearing these shoes, plus I can feel the foot pegs. I did not buy these for warmth (so cannot comment), but for foot protection getting to my kayak drop in points. I have not used them in a marshy or muddy environment. I do like the strap to help ensure a good fit. I also like the look with the grey rubber edging but really appreciate how the rubber edging helps protect the neoprene in the toe box area. I think they look much better than normal wet shoes or even the NRS Arroyo. For my street shoes I am 9.5 to 10. The size 9 Kicker fit me very well, they are not too tight or loose for me. My wife now wants to get the womens NRS Kicker, which I have encouraged her to do from my experience with the mens. If you want a wet shoe that does not get in the way of your kayak foot pegs, offers good foot protection and looks good (for a wet shoe) I would highly recommend the NRS Kickers.
