Basket Lining Too Restrictive
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nike ACG "Lava Loops" Men's Dri-FIT ADV 1/2-Length Trail Running Tights had some smart design choices that made these appealing for running and cycling, however the restrictive basket was too uncomfortable to make up for the other highlights. The basket was very tight and restrictive, the binding was stiff and dug in. I would prefer a shorts length lining instead of a brief style. The outer layer fabric is very comfortable, breathable, and moved well while active. The pockets are very handy for keeping small items like electrolytes or snacks. Overall, there are some smart design elements, but the basket is a dealbreaker for me.
Multi Terrain
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Active mom of four here. We are always traveling. Living the in the bay area, were moments from the beach and minutes from the mountains. My youngest (and last) is two and I finally feel able to run as a part of my self care regime. Even with my size, these are comfortable and supportive of my post pregnancy belly. They stay in place, no riding up or bunching or chafing. They even double as trunks. Traveling, I decided to see how my favorite workout shorts held up against Folsom Lake, CA. It was awesome. They dry really fast, the built in chonies eliminate the need for underwear. You won't get a better product. If you are looking for a pair of running shorts that will not run down, something to keep up with your fire, these are it.
Snug but Comfortable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ACG Lava Loop shorts are fantastic compression shorts that are great to wear either under a pair of athletic shorts or as a stand alone pair. The fit in a snug way that allows both side pockets to secure a phone or wallet while running and/or doing other athletic activities with minimal movement. I wore them for both HIIT workouts and for runs over five miles and was incredibly happy with the fit. Further, the zipper pocket on the back of the waistband was great for holding extra energy packets for a longer run. I will say that my legs are on the skinnier side and even with my somewhat slighter legs they held well. I would highly recommend them for any workout in any conditions. Overall a great addition to the workout drawer.
ACG Half Tights
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After seeing an increase in the half tights/compression style at various races, I was interested to give them a try. After wearing them in a few runs, I can understand why the Nike ACG tights are widely used across trail running at all distances. I wouldn’t hesitate to wear these for any ultra distance even though I wore them on a few shorter runs. They’re incredibly comfortable, cut down on rubbing and fit true to size. The “storage” with various pockets eliminates the need for a waist belt (or vest on shorter runs) as they can fit your phone, keys, and gels. I was also impressed with the ability for these to hold poles. My only critique is the liner, but that’s a personal preference as I’m not a big fan of liners. Other than that, these are great. Fabric feels like it would hold up for a long time and is a product that I look forward to using in my future ultras.
Extremely comfortable!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nike ACG Lava Loops Men's Dri-FIT ADV 1/2-Length Trail Running Tights have exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I put them on, the fit felt supportive without being restrictive, providing excellent comfort for both short runs and long trail adventures. The Dri-FIT ADV technology does an outstanding job of wicking away sweat, keeping me cool and dry even during intense workouts in warm weather. The material is lightweight, breathable, and incredibly soft against the skin, yet durable enough to handle rugged trail conditions. What impressed me most was the thoughtful design. The tights stay securely in place without constant adjustment, and the stretch fabric allows complete freedom of movement on steep climbs, technical terrain, and fast descents. The pockets are practical and well-positioned, making it easy to carry essentials without any bouncing or discomfort.
Running Tights
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been wearing the Nike Running Tights for two weeks now. I wear them on my Peloton bike and treadmill. The fit is true to size. I wear a medium and love the comfortable fit. The material is excellent quality with good back support. The pants are breathable with great support throughout. I really like the pockets as they are perfect for holding the house key when running outside. The lava loops are also great and I feel a little tension around my bottom when they a pulled. Great product with a comfortable fit around the waist.
Perfect!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These running tights are perfect for the summer. They run true to size and have a drawstring to make sure they fit well. They reduce chafing when running or biking and they fit snuggly so they do not move during exercise. They have a lot of snug pockets as well. I was able to wear these under basketball shorts or on their own as they have good coverage. They wash well and have not stretched or discolored. Great product!
Good quality shorts
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good quality running shorts. I like the fabric a lot- it feels high quality and compressive while still being breathable. I didn’t have any problems with things falling out of the pockets or the pockets weighing the shorts down which is something I have experienced with running shorts before. It was nice to have so many places to put gels or other fuel/trash I had with me on long runs and have it all feel very secure while I ran. The shorts are long, so if you are used to shorter running shorts these might feel excessive, but I definitely didn’t chafe
Great half tights. You get what you pay for!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great half tights. Not cheap, but good quality and functionality. Fit true to size. Comfortable with first wear. Good for casual runner or serious ultra runner, with features to support both. Would buy again. Would recommend. Nicely paired with my Nike Vomero 18.
Designed to Go the Distance
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really impressed with these trail running tights overall. The fit is great and they feel comfortable during runs, allowing for a full range of movement without feeling restrictive. The built-in mesh liner provides good support, although I think it could be a little roomier for even better comfort, especially on longer runs. The fabric was one of my favorite features. It strikes an excellent balance between durability and breathability, which is exactly what you want in trail running gear. It feels well made and lightweight enough to keep you comfortable while still holding up to the demands of the trail. The design is solid and functional, with my only suggestion being the pocket placement. The pocket sits fairly high on the hip, so when carrying a phone and lifting your leg while running, the phone can press against your waist or hip bone. Lowering the pocket slightly farther down the thigh would make the tights even more comfortable and practical. Overall, the material and quality stood out the most to me. With just a small adjustment to the pocket placement and a slightly roomier liner, these would be close to perfect.
