I have three other Capilene Cool Trail Tanks from Patagonia that I’ve bought over the last few years, all in size S. The black one began to fade some and I lost a few pounds so I bought a size XS. I tried it on as soon as it was delivered. This XS is bigger than my three S tanks! It’s wider and not as flattering. It’s also not completely black. I found out that Patagonia changed the design. I plan on returning to a store soon because I don’t want to be charged to ship it back to REI.
I”m surprised some of the reviews say it runs large. According to the size chart, I should be a S, but it was more snug in the stomach/hip area and not slightly loose like the pictures suggest. Maybe it’s designed more for very slim/straight figures, not curvy gals. Unfortunately I feel like most of the outdoor clothing is designed for women with slimmer/straight figures and not any curves. I will try to size up to a medium and see if it gives me the slightly looser feel I was going for. For reference - I’m 5’4”, 140 pounds, and hour glass shape (curvy hip/butt and 32DD)
Great fit and love the beautiful blue color. Fabric is soft and will make a great addition to my summer clothing
