Often called "Viking Chess," the Kubb Game from Outside Inside is a fun, active team game that can be played outdoors on grass, sand or snow, as long as it's fairly flat.
- First, a large field is set up measuring 13 ft. x 20 ft. with a peg at each corner and in the middle of the long sides
- The king is placed in the center; 5 kubbs are placed on each baseline
- Players toss batons from behind their baseline; the first team to knock down all the opposing kubbs and then the king, wins
