Built for women, this down-insulated sleeping bag has a roomier cut than standard backpacking bags, giving you more room to relax on your spring, summer and fall adventures.

Features

  • With a European Norm (EN) comfort rating of 24°F, the Tephora is a versatile bag for 3-season backpacking adventures
  • 550-fill-power ProDown™ natural goose down insulation is light and lofty
  • ProDown™ is enhanced with a hydrophobic finish that improves warmth by allowing it to dry faster and repel moisture up to 10 times longer than untreated down
  • Anti-compression pads made from Heatseeker™ Eco synthetic insulation are sewn into high-pressure areas that contact the ground to create an insulating buffer
  • Shaped hood and down-insulated draft collar hold in warmth
  • Insulated draft tube backs the zipper to prevent warm air from escaping; antisnag tape keeps the zipper from catching on the draft tube
  • 3/4-length, 2-way zipper lets you make adjustments for ventilation
  • Comfort-oriented shape has a less-tapered cut than some backpacking sleeping bags, allowing you more room to move around
  • Footbox allows natural foot movement while also eliminating excess lateral space so you stay warm and comfortable all night long
  • The North Face Tephora Sleeping Bag comes with a compression stuff sack
Temperature ratings are intended as a guideline to help you compare products, rather than a guarantee of warmth, since many different factors contribute to your comfort while you sleep. Backpacking bags are typically rated for temperature according to an independent testing protocol—currently International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 23537, though some older items followed European Norm (EN) 13537. Testing is based on a person wearing one base layer and a pair of socks, sleeping on an insulated surface with a minimum R-value of 5.38.

Each bag then gets 2 ratings: the Comfort rating is the lowest temperature at which the bag will keep the average "cold sleeper" comfortable, and the Lower Limit rating is the lowest temperature at which the bag will keep the average "warm sleeper" comfortable. Some brands determine their own temperature rating by aligning to the Comfort rating for women’s bags, to the Lower Limit rating for men’s bags, or somewhere in the middle for nongendered bags.
