Comfortable Boot

I bought these for a 40-mile hike on the Maah Daah Hey trail in ND. They were incredibly comfortable right out of the box. Unfortunately, I didn't wear them because there had been a lot of recent rain and these lacked the waterproofing feature I needed, so I opted to wear a different pair. Since then, I have worn them for day hikes and they are very comfortable, light weight and have great grip. I think the toe box is a bit wide, so if you have narrow feet, they may be too big in this area. I like the bit of extra room.

I need hiking boots (not shoes) due to a previous foot/ankle injury, I live in the desert, and breathable boots are difficult to find. I was hopeful that these would work. Pros: well-built, true to size in length, lightweight, and breathable. They don't go very high up the ankle. They feel stable. Cons, for me: I have narrow, low volume feet and skinny ankles/ lower calves. The boots were too big everywhere but in the length. I tried different insoles, socks, and lacing techniques, but I couldn't keep my mid foot secure and heels from lifting-up. If you have a higher volume foot, these would probably work for you.

Extremely comfortable lightweight hiking boot. Comfortable arch support and good around heel. First time I've tried Tevas as a hiking boot and I like them! Not for winter. Not waterproof.
