Very Comfortable, Very Short

I am a backpacking guide based out of Colorado. There are a lot of things to be excited about when it comes to these shorts. One area that may fall short is that the inseam is too short and rivals that of running shorts. I would prefer a couple more inches on the inseam to make them more usable on and off-trail. Otherwise, this short fits true to size. I am usually a 30-inch waist and that is the size that I ordered. The pockets on these shorts are great including a zippered pocket on the back. Overall, I think these shorts are ideal for backpacking or hiking in warmer weather. I love the articulation and breathability of these shorts.

Something about it fit right

Good fabric. Seems like the crotch is too low and walking will be annoying. Then when you pull it up, the waist is too high. Going back.

Well made but not my first option for the trail

It seems as if the reviews here are in agreement: the hem length is too short. I guide backpacking trips in the Sierra, and putting sunscreen six inches above the knees isn't something I do very often. Thus, give that some thought before pulling the trigger. Now, that said, the fabric is comfortable, and the deep front pockets are practical. I felt some flexibility issues along the hip-line, probably due to the fabric build-up, especially if bending or stepping high on rocks or over trail obstacles. The rear zippered pockets are a nice touch, and the shorts are certainly packable. These might ultimately be best for casual days on the dock with flops and floaties. But they'll make the hike if you need them to.

Really nice hiking and everyday wear shorts

I realize people think these are short, but they are stated as a 7” inseam so yeah that is shorter in length. But I am 5’8” and really like the length. When scrambling up rock I don’t mind the shorter length. I washed them twice in the shower as no washer and dryer were available and they dry very quick. Pockets are no issue and the zippered back pocket is a bonus to me. Waist is true to size and I don’t need a belt with them which I also like as don’t like that with a pack on.

Comfortable, functional, and stylish

Love these shorts. I know there are some complaints about the length but personally I find the length to be just right. Longer than a typical running short but shorter than your dad's 90's jorts. The materials and construction feel durable. I typically wear a 32 but after researching the sizing, I opted for a 31 and they fit perfectly. Looking forward to getting out and hiking with these. I can tell I'll wear them a lot on and off trails.

Great Quality and Length

I bought it in the Dunes colour and absolutely love it. Many left a comment that this is too short and I think it is actually the perfect length to allow unlimited mobility. As someone with a slim build, specifically in the thighs area, I love that these are feeling tapered rather than loose. I have the same model in the pants version for those hikes or situations that requires it.

Favorite Shorts

Currently my favorite shorts. They look good enough for everyday wear, and are light enough to be my go to for any outdoor adventure. They are waterproof so it saved me buying a new bathing suit. Only design issue is the zipper sticks out unless you remember to hide it.

Excellent fit and feel

As mentioned by other reviewers, sizing is right on the mark. Length is very appropriate for active wear, and is extremely comfortable. The material is light and provides plenty of give for sporting use.

Thicc Boy Club

I bought a pair of of the regular length and the size 34 fit my waist perfectly. Unless you're a skinny guy, be prepared for a snug fit in the butt & thighs. Luckily I don't mind. Skies out thighs out!
