The outsoles are made from sugarcane EVA, which replaces 50% of the petroleum normally used, and you could make a case for removing additional CO2 from the atmosphere as sugarcane is renewable. Cork footbeds, and they are lined with a hemp material. So Sanuk is leaning their products towards eco-friendly. They are comfortable, fit true to size, look pretty good and if it's your thing, each shoe comes with bottle opener, hence the happy hour in their title. The bottle opener/strap is fully removable and also acts as a fit adjuster if you need a little tightening.
