With wide, supportive side knobs, the Maxxis Minion DHR II 3C MaxxGrip DH Wide Trail tire is great for riders who want max traction and cornering grip when conditions get loose and muddy.

Features

  • Rear-focused tire, recommended for all trail use; can be paired with a Maxxis Minion DHF tire (not included) up front for the ultimate aggressive trail riding tire combo
  • Center tread has ramped leading edges to improve acceleration and sipes to create a smooth transition when leaning the bike
  • Paddle-like knobs on the center tread dig in under hard braking and help keep the bike under control
  • 3C MaxxGrip compound uses the stickiest, slowest rebounding rubber in the Maxxis mountain lineup
  • High-traction 3C MaxxGrip compound is the same one used by top World Cup Downhill and Enduro World Series athletes
  • Downhill casing tires are designed for extreme use in all gravity applications from downhill racing and bike park riding to free riding and long travel e-bikes
  • Downhill casing is made with 2 layers of durable 60 tpi casing material along with a large butyl rubber insert that extends from each bead into the sidewall
  • The butyl insert helps prevent pinch flats, protects the rim from impacts and provides additional sidewall stability
  • 3C MaxxGrip and Downhill casing are ideal for downhill racing and long travel e-bikes
  • Wide Trail (WT) construction optimizes the tire's tread layout and profile on modern, wider rims
  • WT tires are optimized for a 35 mm inner rim width but are proven to work over a range from 30 to 35 mm inner rim widths, depending on rider preference
  • When set up tubeless, tubeless-ready tires let you run lower air pressures for improved traction, and reduce rolling resistance and chance of flatting compared to using tubes
