Falling apart already, not warm at all
I just received these gloves a few weeks ago and have used them for skiing a total of 9 days, and they've been a big disappointment. 1. They're not warm. I have warm hands in general and own a few different sets of gloves. The Burton Gore Tex gloves I'd been using the past 2 seasons kept my hands comfortable wearing just the shells. These gloves have my fingers going numb and unable to warm back up by the end of the day. 2. They're falling apart already. I'm not a pro skier or someone that's hard on their gloves, but the material on the fingers looks to be wearing off already. The gray material on the palm-side of the fingers seems to be flaking off like it's paint or something, exposing black material underneath. 3. The shells get soaked easily although the interior stays dry. I used these on a pow day and by the end of the day my hands were dry (but cold) but each glove weighed a ton as they had absorbed so much moisture.
No good, not warm.
I am extremely disappointed with these gloves. I spend a lot of time outdoors in the winter, and pride myself on having the right gear. I got these to replace a more than 10 year old pair of REI brand ski gloves. These gloves failed even basic tasks. A 20 minute dog walk in only moderately cold temperatures (mid teens) and my hands were so cold it was painful. I tried them side by side against my old gloves, and the difference was stark. These gloves fail at their most basic primary task.
Big ol’ gloves
On sale, had membership credit to use- not putting them on when it’s 90 degrees out!
