Power meets lightweight agility in the Cannondale Moterra SL 2 electric mountain bike. With its carbon fiber frame, custom battery and custom-tuned drive unit, it's ready for high-speed sessions.
- Lightweight carbon fiber frame features weight-saving FlexPivot technology and houses a custom battery that packs an impressive ratio of watts per kilo
- Using special cells that store more power per kilogram, Cannondale created an incredibly compact battery that packs a full 601 Wh into just 3.1 kg (including wiring harness)
- Battery is removable for servicing; battery removal requires removing the drive unit
- Power comes from a custom-tuned version of the lightweight Shimano EP801 drive unit; drive unit is capable of 85 Nm of torque and 600+ W of peak output
- Custom ride modes are specially tuned for the kind of high-speed sessions this rig encourages
- 4 different levels of boost, easily adjustable on the fly, help you choose between maximum range and monstrous power—or your ideal blend of both
- Eco assist mode offers max range for all-day exploits; Trail assist mode offers mid-power, great for riding with friends on lightweight e-bikes
- Boost assist mode ramps up the assist for ripping with full-power e-bikes; Turbo assist mode offers full power, all the time
- More than just weight-savers, the burly FlexPivot stays are also at the heart of the suspension design
- Acting as a Horst pivot, FlexPivot creates a true 4-bar system, dialing-in suspension response for every input, for incredible traction, confident braking and a playful feel
- With Proportional Response design, everything from the suspension layout to the geometry—even the length of the chainstays—is completely customized for each bike's size
- Flip Chip means you can keep the 29 in. front/27.5 in. rear wheel setup for agility and playfulness, or switch to 29 in. at both ends for max traction and rolling efficiency
- Adjustable headset cups give you a 1.2° range of angle adjustment at the front
- Dial back the angle if you want more stability at speed, set it steeper if you want more agility on technical terrain, or strike the perfect balance for your style
- You can run internal cables straight through the headset, to keep things looking clean and out of harm's way, or through ports in the frame for simplicity and ease of service
- Like a helmet for your motor, an integrated bashguard protects the bike from harsh impacts on the trail—you may not need it much, but when you do, you're happy it's there

- Reach Reach is the horizontal distance from the center of the cranks to the center of the head tube, measured at head tube level.
- Stack Stack is the vertical distance from the center of the cranks to the center of the head tube, measured to the top of the head tube.
- Effective Top Tube Effective top tube is the distance from the center of the head tube to the center of the seat tube/seat post, measured parallel to the ground.
- Seat Tube Center to Top Seat Tube length is the measurement of the seat tube, from the center of the cranks to the top of the seat tube.
- Head Tube Length Head Tube Length is measured from the bottom to the top of the head tube.
- Head Tube Angle Head Tube Angle is the acute angle between the head tube and the ground (measured towards the rear of the bike)
- Seat Tube Angle Seat Tube Angle is the acute angle between the seat tube and the ground (measured towards the rear of the bike).
- Bottom Bracket Height Bottom Bracket Height is a measurement taken vertically from the ground up to the center of the cranks.
- Wheelbase Wheelbase is the measurement from the center of the front axle to the center of the rear axle.
- Chainstay Length Chainstay Length is the measurement from the center of the cranks to the center of the rear axle.
- Fork Offset Fork Offset, or rake, is the distance from the front axle to a line drawn parallel to the center of the head tube or steering axis.
