- Drop-Stop chainrings are designed for use with 1x9, 1x10, 1x11 and some 1x12 drivetrains
- Compatible with 10-, 11-, and 12-speed chains, with the exception of Shimano 12-speed chains
- Not compatible with 12-speed SRAM Flattop, 12-speed Shimano HG+ or 12-speed Campy chains
- If using a 9-speed drivetrain, use a 10-speed chain, which will provide a tighter fit for better chain retention
- 4 of the holes are threaded and 1 is a normal through bolt hole (done for Surly compatibility); use a stock 10 mm chainring bolt for the 5th, hidden arm
- These rings fit any 94 BCD 5-bolt crankset (possible alterations needed to fit some crankarms)
- Use of a clutch-style rear derailleur is recommended for the best chain security
