Initially purchased MSR REVO EXPLORE, but the single strap across the wide part of my foot became sore due to bunions. The Atlas RAMGE TRAIL mesh boot harness distributed the front support across whole foot . Worked for me !
These did not even survive two winters in Alaska before the boot harness broke. I made it through last winter with these, and they are decently functional. I haven't even made it through December of this year--- it's technically not even winter yet. The plastic binding material is not good for cold weather. It's already pushing -40° here in Fairbanks, and the material gets brittle. I looked down to find that one of the pull-straps had completely broken off. I felt like I was about to break the others just trying to take them off (trying to beat the onset of frostbite while I'm struggling with them). There's got to be a better way to design these things. Normally, I'd be more forgiving of things failing in the cold, but this gear is specifically designed for winter. Also, I was going to post this review on their piece of junk website, but it displays everything horizontally such that I cannot even see the submit button on my phone; and there's no option from desktop view, so that's just great.
