Good value in hiking sock
Comfortable, well constructed sock for hiking, and warm enough for general winter wear. I have worn and washed them only three times, so it’s too early to predict longevity. But they wash well, hold their shape, and don’t shrink.

Blue socks very disappointing
I haven't owned these socks for more than a couple weeks and the heels on the blue colored socks just formed holes in them. The tan ones are comfortable and wear well. The fabric seemed thin on the blue ones, when compared to the tan pair. Heels are definitely not reinforced.

Best Wool Socks for the price.

Plain old REI Merino socks, they last forever and are always comfortable all year long.

Surprisingly the Best

I spend a lot of money on socks. I first snagged these from my man and then had to get them for myself. And they come in a 2 pack! They need more colors! And in womens! I bought many cool designs and brands and these REI wools won my winter!

So-so hiking socks

Was hoping REI-brand would give better competition to Smartwool. Designed for lighter duty treks. Slightly itchy texture. Not really absorbent for thickness weight.

Great socks

Great socks for winter! I like the length, material, and warmth. After a cold fall or winter hike they keep my feet warm and dry. They do get loose after a while, but not a deal breaker for me. They wash well so far but do come out of the dryer sticking to everything! Awesome socks for the price :)

Holes :(

Cool designs and initially comfortable. Only wore them seasonally during the colder months (light use) and they got holes in less than a year.

Have to return

One of the pairs has a hole in them roughly a month after purchase, having only been worn 2-3 times.

Warm and cozy but not for casual wear

These are nice and soft and warm but are too thick to wear in casual shoes, which is what I was hoping to do. I couldn’t discern from the description.
