There is hole in new socks, how that's possible?
These socks seem well made, warm, and mostly comfortable, but the fit is weird in regards to the toe seam. I've never had a pair of socks with a seam like this, as the seam is wider than most socks and it sits right on top of the front edge of my large toenails, whereas other socks the seam is usually 1-2 inches back. This drives me nuts so unfortunately I'm going to return these and try something different.
I was kind of excited about these but then I got them. I wear a size 11.5/12 shoe and ordered the large and the fit is ridiculously loose. Every time I take my boot off they want to come sliding off. They’re also pilling already after one week (which isn’t a huge deal but kind of annoying)
These Socks are awesome. It keeps my feet warm and comfortable. It helps me sleep too. I am a disabled veteran and have nerve damage on both my legs. Sometimes my foot gets very painful and cold. The socks help me and it is a blessing to have these socks. Aloha, Fabio Machado
Super comfy with great padding but after one proper wash (inside out, cold water, dried flat) one sock is waaaay shorter than the other. I have a couple of other pair that I’ve yet to wear so maybe this will happen again and I’ll be able to match the short and the long socks together? :)
I had a pair of these socks for 5 years and they were super comfortable and wore like iron. My favorite socks. I bought a new pair and they are much thinner and lighter weight. One had a hole in it near the top. Very disappointed in the quality.
GREAT socks! These type have lasted me for years and I'm just buying a new pair so I will have 3 pair. They don't get stinky. They go through sweat, cold, damp, and still keep my feet comfy and happy. I wear these bulky ones over a wool blend sock liner in winter, and a less bulky type in warm weather.
These Smartwool Unisex Mountaineer socks are warm in temperatures below freezing. They are a bit warmer than my Icebreaker Women's Mountaineer socks because the wool is thick everywhere rather than just at heel, toes, and bottom of foot as they are in the Icebreaker Mountaineer. But, since the Smartwool Mountaineer socks are Unisex, they don't fit my feet as well as the Icebreaker Mountaineer socks that are designed for women's feet.
I originally got these for the winter but since I was going on a hike I wore them and my god are they warm and absorbent but most importantly, soft! They’re like walking on clouds
These were literally 2 inches longer than my other SW socks of the exact same size. They also majorly pilled after a single wash.
