At REI, we work to amplify the advocacy efforts of the outdoor industry and actively support a more equitable and inclusive outdoors. Since 2021, our community has helped plant 1.2 billion trees in national forests, secured $4.5 million in federal funding for trails and $1 billion+ in state parks funding, and protected 1 million+ acres of land and water. See REI's Impact Report for more on how we're helping close the nature gap.
We launched the REI Cooperative Action Network in April 2021 to mobilize the REI community around climate action and creating a more just and inclusive outdoors. The Cooperative Action Network makes it easy for our employees, members and community to join us in advocating for policies that champion life outside through easy-to-use tools, powerful storytelling and civic engagement resources.
