REI welcomes two co-op members to board of directors

Patricia Lopez and Doug Mack elected to serve the outdoor retailer

Specialty outdoor retailer REI Co-op today announced that co-op members Patricia Lopez and Doug Mack have joined the company’s board of directors following their election in May.  

Patricia Lopez is an executive and former CEO with a broad range of global marketing and general management experience at consumer companies including Procter & Gamble, Avon and Estée Lauder. She brings expertise in centering the voice of the consumer, balancing strategic planning with operational execution, and revitalizing brands. Patricia believes everyone should have equitable access to time outside and is eager to work with the co-op community to inspire a lifetime of outdoor adventure and stewardship for all. 

Doug Mack joins REI’s board with 34 years of business experience, the last 25 of which come across a broad array of retail and e-commerce businesses, including as former CEO of Fanatics, One Kings Lane and Scene7. Doug has a proven track record in building not just strong businesses, but strong business cultures, with a focus on diversity and inclusion. As a board member, he will strive to support the success of the REI management team as they serve employees, members, customers and the broader co-op mission. Doug firmly believes REI provides a unifying force for good, bringing together people committed to life outside in a world that has become increasingly divided.
