Join REI for a day of rappelling and rock climbing in Linville Gorge! Linville Gorge, often referred to as the "Grand Canyon of the East", is known for beautiful cliffs and thrilling exposure. Hundreds of routes, ranging from beginner-friendly to expert level, make the Gorge a fantastic area for rock climbing. Whether you are an experienced climber or are completely new to climbing, REI's AMGA certified guides will provide you with friendly and thorough instruction, as well as all the necessary technical equipment for an exciting climbing and rappelling adventure. Class size is limited to ensure that each participant receives individualized attention and the opportunity to climb and rappel many times throughout the day. This course is designed for climbers hoping to advance their knowledge, as well as beginners looking for a new experience. Recommended for those 14 and older; participants under 18 must be accompanied by a participating parent or responsible adult.
