Join REI on this outing to discover the joy of ice climbing in the White Mountains! You'll meet your AMGA-certified instructors at the REI in North Conway before traveling together to a nearby iconic climbing venue. We'll cover all the skills you need to get started climbing vertical ice, including proper belay technique, critical knots, and movement on ice. This class is focused on spending lots of time climbing, with some personalized instruction along the way. REI will provide technical mountaineering boots, crampons, ice tools, and all necessary ice climbing equipment for this great first-time experience.
