On this ~8 mile hike around the Harper's Ferry area, we'll explore the human history of this region while basking in the natural landscape that's grown out of these modern ruins. From the top of the Maryland Heights overlook, you'll see the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers and the historic town of Harper's Ferry. Along the way, we'll share some hiking tips and offer insight into the region's history and ecosystem. This hike is perfect for anyone with a bit of fitness and sturdy boots, as you'll need to feel comfortable gaining 1000' of elevation on uneven terrain.
