Beloved by locals and adventurers nationwide, Harriman State Park offers pristine wilderness, refreshing hiking, and limitless tranquility. On this overnight backpacking trip through the second-largest state park in New York, we'll explore rocky outcroppings and refreshing lakes while spending a night under the stars. We'll begin with a spirited hike into our secluded campsite, then we'll settle in and enjoy a hearty evening meal. Enjoy the peace and quiet that comes from being outside after dark, and snuggle into your tent while listening to the sounds of the nocturnal life all around. We'll wake up with the sun for some coffee and breakfast, then continue on our journey. Perfect for anyone with a bit of hiking experience, you'll need to feel comfortable walking over uneven ground while carrying a 35lb pack. Along the way, we'll share backpacking tips and offer insights into the region's history and ecosystem. We'll provide all of the gear you'll need, including meals for the weekend. We love this region, and are pretty sure you will too!
