Day 1

Hike Zion National Park's iconic Virgin River Narrows

Our trip kicks off early in Henderson, NV at our host hotel. After introductions, we hit the road for a three-hour drive to majestic Zion National Park. Along the way, we'll connect with our fellow travelers and learn about the unique geology and human history of the Colorado Plateau. Before entering the park, we have a picnic lunch near the park entrance. In the park, a shuttle takes us to the Temple of Sinawava, the starting point for our hike into the famous Narrows. Our trail is the Virgin River as it winds its way between the thousand-foot-high walls of the enormous slot canyon (a sizable portion of the Narrows hike requires wading through ankle to thigh-deep river water). Hiking through the Narrows is a unique experience as the ever-changing light reflects off the cliff walls, continually altering the color of rock and water. At the hike's end, we drive to our exclusive REI Signature Camp, home for the next two nights. After settling into camp, we sit down to an al fresco dinner expertly prepared by our guides and camp host. Lunch and dinner included.

Hiking: up to 5 miles; Elevation gain/loss: 200'; Van Transfer: 3 hours. We walk on trail for approximately one mile before entering The Narrows where we literally get our feet wet. We hike upstream for up to 1.5 additional miles, gradually gaining approximately 200' before turning around and exiting the same route.

Day 2

Hike to Scout Lookout and Emerald Pools

The dawn chorus of canyon wrens and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee greet us as we start the day with a hearty breakfast at camp. Energized and ready, we set off on a breathtaking hike to Scout Lookout and Emerald Pools. The trail to Scout Lookout is a marvel, carved into the sandstone walls, as it leads up to Walter's Wiggles, a series of 21 switchbacks that reveal sweeping views of Zion Canyon's towering cliffs. After descending, we continue our hike to Emerald Pools, a lush oasis nestled in a side canyon. Here, we'll discover a series of streams and tiered natural pools that offer a refreshing respite. To end this wonderful day, we'll indulge in a relaxing yoga session at camp, followed by our farewell dinner. It's an evening filled with delicious food and cherished moments with newfound friends. All meals included.

Hiking: 6.5 miles; Elevation gain/loss: 1,500'

NOTE: An optional hike to Angels Landing may be incorporated in lieu of Emerald Pools if permits can be acquired. These highly competitive permits cannot be guaranteed, but we will attempt to secure them if possible. Angels Landing hike: 5 miles, 1500'

Day 3

Morning hike on scenic Watchman Trail. Return to Las Vegas

Our day starts with another wholesome breakfast, a perfect send-off as we return to the park for one last memorable hike on the Watchman Trail. This out-and-back trail unveils spectacular views of Zion's most iconic features like West Temple and Towers of the Virgin. Following our hike, we will take some time to explore Zion Canyon's Visitor Center and savor one last picnic lunch together before making our way back to Las Vegas. We anticipate arriving at the Las Vegas airport by 6pm. Schedule your departing flights for after 8pm.

Hiking: up to 3.2 miles; Elevation gain/loss: 368'

Although we do our very best to adhere to the schedule listed above, this itinerary is subject to change for numerous reasons beyond our control.
