'L' Train: The park is a half-mile walk from the Cermak-Chinatown stop on the Red Line. Walk north on Wentworth to 19th St then hang a left.

Bike share: There is a Divvy Bikes docking station just inside the park's entrance on 19th & Wells.

Chicago Water Taxi: The Chinatown stop is on the banks of Ping Tom Park. Free for active duty military and children under 4; half-price for seniors.

CTA bus routes: Take the 24 bus to Clark & 18th or the 62 bus to Archer & Wentworth.

Driving: Paid street parking and private lots are available in Chinatown near the park.

There is a water fountain in the boathouse but no food. Please bring enough snacks for your rental experience.

We rent by the hour, so you can paddle the river for an hour, or however long you'd like. You just need to bring your equipment back before we close.

We charge a one-time late fee of $25. Please call us 1-773-236-7707 if you anticipate being late so we can try to extend your reservation instead to avoid incurring fees.

We will close if there's thunder & lightning in the vicinity, or if there's a torrential downpour. If we do close, we'll resume operations once the weather clears.

If you are renting a kayak from us, you can bring your dog, so long as they have their own personal flotation device (PFD). We don't have any doggie PFDs on site.

Dogs are not allowed on any classes or day trips leaving from Ping Tom, as a courtesy to other guests who may have allergies, fear, etc.
