There is limited parking available on site—first come, first served. You'll need a Sno-Park Permit to park, which you can purchase online or in person at Hyak Sno-Park. They're also available at REI stores throughout the Puget Sound. No overnight parking permitted.

When snow has freshly fallen, parking lot terrain may be uneven. If you need additional accommodations for your visit, there will be employees onsite who would be happy to help!

There are 6 heated bathrooms available on site in the red structure behind our rental facility. They are open whenever our rental location is open.

Yes! We're happy to allow walk-up rentals as our inventory allows, but it's best to reserve online in advance when possible.

We accept all major credit cards. At this time, we can’t accept cash, REI gift cards or Co-op Member Rewards for payment.

This location rents snowshoes (trekking poles included with each rental), adult cross-country skis (poles and boots inlucded with each rental), and sleds. You can rent a wide variety of additional outdoor gear from your local REI Co-op, though. Visit rei.com/rentals for more details.

Snowshoeing

We are conveniently located at the trailhead of the stunning lakeside Hyak Sno Park Trail. Additionally, we’re less than a mile away from Gold Creek Pond, a beautiful, flat snowshoe trail along the pond. A bit farther east, the Crystal Springs Sno-Park has a lovely hike marked with blue snowshoe trail signs for easy navigation. Lake Easton State Park also has some very nice trails for snowshoeing. These are all multi-use trails, and require a Sno-Park Permit for parking, which you can purchase online or in person at Hyak Sno-Park. They're also available at REI stores throughout the Puget Sound.
