Ride world-class mountain bike trails with experienced guides on a variety of fun and challenging routes. Mix in jaw-dropping vistas and plenty of adventure, that's exactly what you get with this fully guided getaway near Grand Junction, Colorado. The area offers diverse terrain, including slickrock, technical descents, fast-flowing singletrack, and stunning red rock formations. You'll have the opportunity to tackle a variety of landscapes and riding styles. Revel in the challenge of the Lunch Loops, 18 Road, and Kokopelli trail systems with their famous canyon-country backdrops. Off the bike, spend your evenings exploring downtown Grand Junction or soaking in a hot tub with like-minded dirt lovers. Leave the bikes, food prep, planning and logistics to us. This trip is rated Moderate Plus (3-4).

The featured routes are mostly comprised of intermediate blue routes, but guests must be comfortable riding advanced black diamond routes to enjoy this trip fully. This trip is for advanced intermediate or expert mountain bikers and is not suitable for beginner mountain bikers. Trip members should be comfortable riding a mountain bike on technical terrain for approximately 3-7 hours per day for four consecutive days. Rides range from 7-27 miles, including one ride with up to 2,937' cumulative elevation gain.

To safely enjoy this adventure, participants must be physically fit, have current, relevant mountain biking skills, and feel comfortable navigating technical terrain. The trails are packed with challenging features such as drops, tight switchbacks, off-camber sections, bowls, ledgy and sometimes steep singletrack, loose, chunky climbs and descents, exposure, slickrock, rutted tracks, and more. Some days will have miles of fast, flowy singletrack to balance the mix. Qualified participants will have a blast on these world-class trails while participants lacking the advanced skills required to navigate the terrain may not enjoy the rides and be at a greater risk of injury. We are without vehicle support for the majority of our rides.

Local community ethics do not allow for riding on wet trails. In the unlikely event of rain during your trip, we do have alternates that will include riding on pavement.

Day 1

Meet in Grand Junction and ride the Lunch Loops

Join us this afternoon in Grand Junction and meet your guides and fellow adventurers. After a round of introductions and a brief orientation led by our guides, we kick off our exciting journey with our first ride together. Saddle up and get ready for an unforgettable adventure! Riding through the Lunch Loop trails, we traverse a unique landscape featuring rugged canyons, striking rock formations, and awe-inspiring panoramic vistas. This adventure blends heart-pounding excitement with the unparalleled beauty of this region. Here, we connect with like-minded dirt enthusiasts and join a welcoming community of riders that embodies the local culture, making mountain biking in this area truly extraordinary. As the day winds down, we settle into our hotel in charming downtown Grand Junction. We gather for a group dinner, where we delve deeper into the details of our upcoming rides together. Lunch and dinner included.

Today's route generally consists of intermediate blue trails with a half mile of black diamond terrain consisting of several rock gardens, a section of hike-a-bike, and tight switchbacks on the descent.

Day 2

Ride the famous Kokopelli Loops

Today's riding leads us through some of the most exhilarating trails on the Kokopelli Loops. The area encompasses an extensive network of trails that wind through canyons, plateaus, and arid landscapes, offering riders breathtaking views of the Colorado River and the surrounding red rock formations. It's a day filled with heart-pounding descents, thrilling ascents, and moments of pure connection with Colorado's natural beauty. Our experienced guides can help you navigate the trails, hone your skills, and ensure you make the most of your biking experience. Welcome to some of the best mountain biking in the American Southwest! All meals included.

Today's ride offers a variety of blue intermediate routes with fast and flowy single track, tricky obstacles, and some sandy sections. There is a descent that requires a hike-a-bike unless you are prepared for a steep and technical descent.

Intermediate ride: The perfect amount of riding with options for more riding if desired. Mountain Biking: 20 miles, Elevation gain/loss: +/- 1603'

Advanced ride: Cap off your day with an additional 4-mile loop. Mountain Biking: 24 miles, Elevation gain/loss: +/- 2103'

Day 3

Customize an epic ride on 18 Road

Start your day on the right pedal with a satisfying breakfast at the hotel. We then gather as a group for the ride talk before heading out on today's adventure—a spectacular set of loops that offer as much or as little riding as you like. We start nice and easy and add more challenge after each loop. The 18 Road trails are fast and flowy, there's a great mix of desert terrain, rocky sections, and stunning vistas along the way. Put your guides' hard-won knowledge of the area to use and piece together your own puzzle of technical moves to negotiate your chosen route. With plenty of bailout and extension options in this trail network, every rider can customize their own perfect day of riding. As the day draws to a close, we return to town, where we celebrate our achievements with a delectable dinner in the company of newfound friends. All meals included.

Today's routes generally consist of intermediate blue singletrack with a 2-mile section of advanced black diamond terrain of winding singletrack. There are a few narrow off-camber sections and a ledgy rock climb.

Intermediate ride: Today's mileage is completely in your hands, with your guides there to advise and assist. Mountain Biking: 19 miles, Elevation gain/loss: +/- 2160'

Advanced ride: Challenge yourself with an extra loop or two. Mountain Biking: 27 miles, Elevation gain/loss: +/- 2937'

Day 4

Hit the dirt with one more ride on the Lunch Loops

We begin our day with our final breakfast together in our home away from home. We cap off our adventure with one final ride on a different section of the Lunch Loops. These trails are just too good to limit ourselves to one day of riding here. We soak in the beauty of the surrounding towering mesas, and vibrantly hued canyons in this beautiful Red Rock country. As you navigate each twist and turn of the trail, you'll create lasting memories and stories to share. After lunch in town and reminiscing over fun challenges and accomplishments, it's time to say goodbye to this gorgeous area and our fellow riders. For those flying home today, please do not schedule a flight out of Grand Junction prior to 4pm. Breakfast and lunch included.

This route generally consists of single and double track that is rated as an intermediate blue route.
