The Military and Veterans in Parks (MVP) Act

Tell Congress to help our nation’s service members access the healing benefits of quality time outside.

Cooperative Action Network

Help pass the MVP Act.

We can never fully repay our nation’s Veterans for their service. But, we can ensure they have access to the healing power of nature.

For military Veterans living with combat-related injuries or post-traumatic stress, quality time outside supports trauma recovery, overall well-being and the transition back to civilian life. Time outside hiking, camping or engaging in nature-based therapy has been shown to support their healing by promoting relaxation, trauma recovery and overall well-being.

The Military and Veterans in Parks (MVP) Act seeks to help our Veterans, active-duty service members and Gold Star families access our public lands through adaptive trails and recreation infrastructure, adaptive equipment, outdoor workforce development for service members, free passes and reduced cost permits, and dedicated outreach efforts. The MVP Act is currently included within a broader outdoor recreation package called the EXPLORE Act.

Let’s protect outdoor access for the Veterans who protected us.

Take action by telling Congress to pass the Military and Veterans in Parks Act today.
