Minnesotans have a long history of standing up to protect the outdoors, and it’s no wonder why
From the majestic Boundary Waters to the shores of Lake Superior; from the mighty Mississippi that stretches beyond the Driftless Region to the tens of thousands of lakes and parks that span the state—Minnesota is home to some of the best locations to hike, camp, canoe, fish and more.
Since 1988, Minnesota’s state lottery has provided critical funding for conserving and protecting our lands and waters. And each time it’s been up for renewal, Minnesotans have voted to keep it by a 70% margin or more.
This funding is set to sunset next year unless over 50% of Minnesotans vote YES on Nov. 5 to continue dedicating lottery funds to our outdoors through 2050.
REI Co-op is proud to join 125 other organizations, state businesses and Minnesota cities and towns in supporting the Minnesotans for Our Great Outdoors campaign to ensure the future of clean lakes, healthy forests and outdoor recreation for generations of Minnesotans to come.
Are you with us? If so, pledge to vote YES on Amendment 1 on Nov. 5 to safeguard the future of Minnesota’s great outdoors.
