Maya Kroth is a writer and radio reporter based in Atlanta. A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, she grew up snowboarding around South Lake Tahoe before moving to Southern California to become online recreation editor for the San Diego Union-Tribune. Since then, she has reported on topics as varied as the Honduran economy, water pollution in Guatemala, winemaking in Mexico and puppetry in Barcelona. Her work has appeared in Foreign Policy, The Washington Post, New York, the Christian Science Monitor, Sunset magazine and on NPR.
