Casey Schreiner is the founder and editor of Modern Hiker, the oldest and most-read hiking blog in Southern California. His site is a Lonely Planet Recommended Resource and was recently named one of the Top Ten Hiking Blogs in the country by USA Today. In addition to outdoor writing, Casey has been writing and producing national television for 11 years. He lives in Los Angeles, which has much better hiking than you think it does. REI member since 2005.
